In most countries, except for USA, this insurance policy is mandatory and therefore is included in the framework of the CDW insurance as required by the laws of that country.
In United States, the liability insurance for property damage / personal injury of a third party, that is usually included in the car rental prices, provides only minimal coverage to the car renter or the additional drivers listed in the rental contract. However, various car suppliers offer an extension to this coverage. This extension, referred to as SLI - Supplement Liability Insurance, ALI - Additional Liability Insurance or EP - Extended Protection.
In the USA damages claims can be high so it is recommended to have the largest possible SLI coverage. Ofran cooperates with Alamo & National in the USA who provide an SLI coverage of up to 1,000,000 USD.
The car rental deal does not include medical insurance and / or bodily injury or property insurance, for the driver, any additional driver and / or passengers in the renal car, including as a result of road accidents that may be caused using the leased vehicle. You should, therefore, purchase such insurance coverage, independently and in accordance with the appropriate insurance coverage conditions.

In addition, in certain jurisdictions (e.g., South Africa), the coverage proposed to be included in such insurance may contain various limitations prescribed by local law (such as: limitations on the account of coverage, the coverable events and more).Therefore, we recommend that you separately purchase an appropriate insurance coverage to meet your needs, or alternatively verify with the Car Supplier, at the time of picking up the car, which additional insurance coverages are offered by it for such purpose.
A prerequisite for the insurance coverage is that for any damage caused to the car during the rental period, the renter shall immediately notify both the local police and the car supplier, shall keep documents attesting thereto and shall act according to their instructions.
